As efforts to contain the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus by restricting travel ripple across the country, the International consulting group Methods for Management (MFM) is opting to move meetings online as an alternative to canceling them.
Using the video conferencing platform Zoom, members can connect to their scheduled meetings from any location and interact with one another in the same way a person-to-person meeting would work. The agenda and format of the meeting can remain relatively the same as a typical on-location meeting would work.
In addition to the full day Q2 scheduled Bureau meetings, the groups are having weekly one hour Bureau Zoom meetings, where concerns and strategies regarding navigating through COVID-19 can be discussed and shared between members. To date, 16 group meetings have successfully been completed, with a fantastic number of members participating. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with members looking forward to their scheduled calls each week.
Given our current climate, we’re seeing that now more than ever, our members need the support and camaraderie these meetings can offer. During this global pandemic, Methods for Management will continue to remain in close contact with our members and will seek out more creative ways to stay connected, informed, and up-to-date daily.
