A full schedule of speakers has been announced for the Southern DryCleaners and Launderers Show in Jacksonville, FL, June 20th – 22nd.
The centerpiece of the show, sponsored by the South Eastern Fabricare Association, will be exhibits by allied trades firms in the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center which will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday.
On Friday before the show opens there will be a special seminar for owners and managers presented by Chris White, executive director of America’s Best Cleaners. He will discuss capitalizing on human interaction and building a profitable brand through strong human interactions in all aspects of business in a three-hour program that begins at 1 p.m.
Two programs are planned for Saturday morning. Diana Vollmer of Methods for Management will speak on successful management strategies and unveiling the mystery of peer-to-peer groups from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Next up will be DLI’s Brian Johnson who will offer quick fixes for common problems in 10 to 11 a.m. time slot.
Johnson will return on Saturday afternoon to take questions from the audience and give his best answers in a 1 p.m. program. Then at 2 p.m. Sandy Seay of Seay Management Consultants will discuss human resources flash points.
James Peuster, The Route Pro, will lead off the Sunday programs with a “Fresh Look at Competing and Winning in the Delivery Marketplace.” His one-hour program will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Chris White will return to the podium at 10 a.m. to discuss “Customer Service Rep to Superstar: Improving Your Customers’ Experience and Your Bottom Line.”
SEFA has selected the Hyatt Regency Riverfront as its headquarters hotel for the weekend. Situated on a four-mile riverfront boardwalk adjacent to Jacksonville Landing, the hotel is convenient to jazz, art and film festival venues, museums, sporting events, concerts and more. Scheduled events during the June 20th – 22nd show include Friday market where vendors set up outside The Landing with displays of art, jewelry and unique gifts.
For food and drink, the hotel offers casual dining at Trellises Restaurant. A bagel shop, casual lounge and a sports bar are also on the hotel’s menu. Golfers can test their skills on any of the 70 golf courses in the area.
