Steve Mathews Is New TCATA President

Steve Mathews of M & B Hangers has assumed the presidency of TCATA, a position he will hold through the 2016 annual conference.

While formally installing Steve as president during the closing dinner at the recent TCATA annual conference in Naples, Florida, outgoing president Bryant Dunivan discussed Steve’s background in the textile care industry. He is a veteran of the drycleaning industry, having worked at R.R. Street for 20 years, most recently as vice president. For the last 3 years, he has worked as the western region sales manager for M & B Hangers. Active in TCATA for many years, he carries on in the tradition of his family – his father Stan was very active in TCATA, and served as president from 1986 – 88. Steve has worked on several committees for the TCATA Conference, including golf chair, business program committee and chair of the Thursday dinner event. He also previously served as a board member.

During remarks made while accepting this position, Steve talked about his memories of TCATA and the conference in particular while he was growing up. He said that the Association has always been a special organization to his family and that he is proud and honored to serve as president.
